UK popfolksters/frogrockers Turin Brakes returned to North America for the first time in a half-decade to dazzle a woefully tiny/ pissed-drunk English Vancouver crowd with stunning harmonies, wry humour and crisp guitars. Touring new album Outbursts, the band warmed up in front of a welcoming crowd, desperate to sing along to “Underdog (Save Me)” from first album The Optimist. And they got it, as well as a nice pick n’ mix of tracks from the band’s past five albums. PLUS! BONUS! ADDED EXTRA! A cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”. Gaze upon their endearing faces as Backstagerider.com presents an enormo-gallery: Turin Brakes live at Venue Vancouver.
