Mr. Mike Doughty is a man who used to be in Soul Coughing, but split with them, wrote a book about it, as a solo artist hated playing those songs so stopped them entirely, but then reworked those songs and released an album backed by fans (including yours truly).
Mike is now touring his re-imagined Soul Coughing songs. Is this an awesome thing? Yes, this is an awesome thing! Why? Because some of the reworked songs actually sound BETTER.
Mike plays Vancouver’s Biltmore Cabaret on November 1, and I want you to be there. I’m giving away a pair of tickets to someone who can simply answer this question in the comments below: “What is your favourite, super bonbon?” Mine is RingPops. Answer by noon on October 31st.
