On a night when Vancouver was home to four really good gig choices at the same time. Photog hero Kris Krüg and I “settled” on Kurt Vile and Thurston Moore. Good choice. Great mumblerock from Vile and some sonic youthful explorations from Moore.

GRINDERMAN Review/Gallery – Nick Cave Blows Minds, Eardrums
Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds – in the shape of Grinderman – were in Vancouver on November 26 at the Commodore Ballroom. They powered through evil rock with the intensity of a jet engine. Photographic proof by the ever-wonderful Kris Krüg, and comparisons to a graphic novel by me.
